Recently, researchers have published a surprising report on the benefits of chili peppers, indicating that they are good for individuals suffering from stomach ulcers.
According to the report, chili peppers not only do not cause stomach ulcers as previously thought, but they may also prevent or heal existing ulcers.
Researchers have demonstrated that chili peppers contain capsaicin, which helps inhibit the production of gastric acid, stimulates the alkalinity process, and increases blood flow to the stomach lining, thus preventing ulcers or aiding in the healing of existing ones.
Additionally, the researchers referenced another study indicating that the rate of stomach ulcers among individuals who consume a lot of chili peppers is three times lower than that of average chili consumers. Capsaicin has also been shown to stimulate nerve cells in the stomach, enhancing protection against potential ulcer-inducing stimuli.
