While climbing a mountain, a man was attacked by a bear from behind. The entire incident was captured by a camera mounted on his head.
The incident occurred in early October in Japan. While climbing Futago Mountain on Kyūshū Island in southern Japan, a man was unexpectedly attacked by a black bear after inadvertently encroaching on its territory.
At the moment the man was attacked by the bear, he defended himself by screaming and kicking at it.
The video shows the bear attacking from behind, seemingly trying to protect its cub. Fortunately, the man escaped death and successfully drove the bear away.
He attempted to defend himself by shouting and kicking at the bear. The animal initially missed him, coming dangerously close to his head at one point.
Additionally, when attacked by the bear, the man tried to cling to the rocks to avoid falling. After several unsuccessful charges at him, the bear eventually left with its cub.
The black bear seemed to want to protect its cub, leading to the attack on the man.
According to 20Minutes, the man realized he had entered the bear’s territory and acknowledged that he would not have survived without his karate skills.
This serves as a valuable lesson for athletes and mountain climbing enthusiasts, highlighting the importance of researching beforehand to avoid areas inhabited by dangerous wildlife such as bears.
