On December 15, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for high-tech cooperation aimed at contributing to socio-economic development and national defense and security.
According to the MoU, the Ministry of Science and Technology and EADS will collaborate to develop a high-tech project that integrates safety system solutions. Vietnam will establish a testing Center for Integrated Safety System Solutions in Hanoi.
This center will be responsible for collecting, monitoring, and processing information across various fields, contributing to socio-economic development and national defense and security.
The Ministry of Science and Technology and EADS have agreed on a roadmap to promote high-tech development programs in Vietnam, including the establishment of a model system for training applications at the Center for Electronics and Informatics Technology under the Institute of Applied Technology.
Subsequently, Vietnam will build an official center for high-tech safety system solutions, in collaboration with EADS to exchange experience in system design, scientific and technological information, and expert training.
