An event resembling a “horror” movie took place in a district of Thailand.
Uraiwan Seksuk, a 44-year-old resident of Mueang Samut Songkhram in central Thailand, was hanging up laundry when she suddenly heard a loud rustling noise coming from behind the kitchen.
Panicking, she rushed outside to discover a sight she could hardly believe. A gigantic Burmese python, with a swollen belly, was somehow struggling to slither around her house. It seemed as though it had just enjoyed a grand feast and was now looking for a quiet spot to digest everything inside its belly.
Terrified at the visit from this fearsome guest, Uraiwan immediately grabbed her phone to seek help from local authorities.
Meanwhile, the python continued to coil itself on the floor, searching for a hiding spot. Eventually, it found a crevice between the concrete slabs and decided to squeeze in there to rest and enjoy its victorious meal.

It wasn’t until the rescue team arrived that the python nearly finished swallowing its equally large prey, leaving only a small portion of the tail exposed.
According to accounts from rescuers Sawang Benchait and Samut Songkhram, to “pull out” the python from its hiding place, they had to use hammers to break the concrete above and then exert a lot of effort to control the stubborn creature.
However, what happened next left everyone astonished.
As the python could no longer thrash about, it began to contract its body and open its gruesome jaws wide. Gradually, the prey from its mouth began to be regurgitated. First came the tail, then the body, and finally the entire creature was revealed. It turned out to be a monitor lizard, just as large as the Burmese python.
Initially, the sight was reminiscent of a horror film, causing all the witnesses to shudder and then feel sympathy for the monitor lizard that had been swallowed alive.
The python “regurgitating” the monitor lizard.
However, the monitor lizard did not keep everyone sad for long, as just a moment later, it began to wiggle back to life. One could easily describe the scene as the prey, after being swallowed, was still alive, intact, and free of any injuries.
A volunteer from the rescue team, Somjed Kasulong, was left bewildered at what he was witnessing. “In over ten years of catching pythons and snakes, I’ve never seen anything like this. The characteristic of pythons is to constrict their prey until it dies before swallowing it. This monitor lizard was incredibly lucky. Even if it was strong enough not to be suffocated to death, without human intervention, it would still end up in the python’s belly.”
In the end, both animals, now intertwined in fate, were thoroughly checked by the rescue team before being released back into their natural environment.
