A high school student in Daejeon, South Korea, has been arrested for recording and subsequently distributing nude images of his girlfriend after a steamy late-night chat.
According to the student’s account, the girl willingly undressed during the chat. He further shocked police officers by claiming that out of every ten girls or women participating in online chat rooms, about 2-3 are willing to undress within just ten minutes.
The incident took place in early October. The 16-year-old boy, named Seo, met and got to know a high school girl in Daejeon through an online chat room, and she went “100% nude” at Seo’s suggestion via webcam. Seo recorded the entire session and created a video clip, which he then shared with friends. This clip quickly spread through P2P file-sharing networks and MMS, reaching even classmates of the girl.
Meanwhile, the girl is undergoing treatment for severe psychological distress. Seo told investigators that he only wanted to create a video out of curiosity, claiming he had seen similar clips all over the internet. Police reported that Seo expressed remorse for his actions, but maintained that he initially intended only to show it to a few close friends.
