A woman captured a terrifying moment when her son was surfing right in front of an oncoming shark.
According to Yahoo News, Kaci Allen lives with her son Ethan in Tennessee, USA. During a trip to North Myrtle Beach to practice surfing, Allen recorded the exact moment a shark leaped out of the water, just behind her son. However, neither Allen nor Ethan noticed the shark at the time. Ethan later fell into the water.

“I didn’t even realize the shark had jumped when Ethan was surfing!” Allen wrote in the caption accompanying the video on Facebook. She said: “I only discovered the animal when Ethan reviewed the video. We had seen sharks underwater before, but we had never captured a video of one. They move so fast!”
On social media, many people expressed horror at the frightening footage showing the shark very close to Ethan.
“This is why we don’t swim or surf near the harbor,” one commenter remarked.
Another user wrote: “That’s terrifying! That’s why I only dare to stay on the shore.”
The species of shark seen in the video is believed to be a spinner shark. They are commonly found off the coast of South Carolina. Adult spinner sharks can range from 1.8 meters to 3 meters in length and weigh around 55 kilograms. However, they are not considered a threat to humans.
