The moment when dozens of sharks converged to feast on the carcass of a gigantic whale was captured on camera, leaving viewers breathless.
The carcass of a massive whale, measuring approximately 20 meters, caused a stir in the deep waters off the western coast of Australia as a group of sharks swarmed to tear it apart.
Sharks arriving to “enjoy the feast” from the whale carcass.
It was reported that the animal’s carcass was discovered early in the morning on November 15th near the coast of Rottnest Island, attracting dozens of sharks to come and “enjoy the feast.”
However, by November 16th, it had drifted closer to residential areas, just over 100 meters from the Thomson Bay jetty. According to local media, the group of sharks, about 30 in number, consisted mainly of tiger sharks and copper sharks.
The “bloody” scene unfolded as the sharks slowly appeared on the water’s surface, drawing a crowd on the jetty to watch. Experts believe that this could be the carcass of a blue whale or a pygmy blue whale.
The presence of these dangerous predatory sharks forced local authorities to close several popular swimming areas at Thomson Bay, Pinky Beach, and Longreach Bay.
Subsequently, experts used ropes to secure the tail of the animal in order to pull the carcass away from the shore and transport it to another location for processing. According to specialists, the meat of the whale was still very fresh.
