Rick Mannin was riding a jet ski when he noticed a bull shark nearby. The shark, about three meters long, swam around the jet ski, waiting for the right moment to strike.
The footage captured by the drone shows the aggressive shark lunging at the jet ski after circling around Rick Mannin several times.
Rick Mannin stated: “The bull shark swam around and bothered me multiple times. Then it attacked the jet ski with a tremendous force, almost knocking me into the water. I felt anxious in that moment.”
In addition to the video, social media posts showed images of the jet ski with bite marks from the bull shark, causing damage to one side.
The drone operator spotted five sharks off the coast of Queensland before the attack occurred.

Bull sharks typically inhabit shallow, warm waters. They have strong, aggressive heads and are known for their ferocity. Experts rank bull sharks as the third most dangerous shark species in the world based on the number of attacks on humans.
Statistics show that there were at least eight fatal shark attacks last year, the highest number in 90 years. In 2021, there were approximately 12 shark bites reported in Australia, one of which resulted in a fatality.
