The horned frog is a very gluttonous species, and as soon as it spotted the snake, it attacked immediately.
A Blunt-nosed Viper (Scientific name: Enhydris plumbea – also known as the rice snake or plum water snake, which is a mildly venomous species) was placed in a box containing an Argentine Horned Frog (Scientific name: Ceratophrys ornata).
The horned frog, known for its voracious appetite, did not hesitate to attack the snake upon seeing it, regardless of whether its opponent was venomous or not. The snake quickly retaliated by biting the back of the horned frog.
However, the venom of the Blunt-nosed Viper was not potent enough to incapacitate the frog, so the two continued to struggle against each other for quite some time before the battle concluded. Ultimately, both were exhausted and conceded defeat.
