The ability to see and perceive with the mind is a spiritual phenomenon that allows individuals to gather information and images from distant places without leaving their rooms.
The Stargate Project
Some people also claim to be able to see things from the past. What is the truth?
It is believed that there have been studies utilizing the ability to see across space and time to gather intelligence, particularly in the United States and the former Soviet Union. Although there were tests conducted on psychic abilities, especially telepathy and extrasensory perception (ESP) in the U.S. by JB Rhine, a botanist who established the Parapsychology Laboratory at Duke University along with his colleagues in the 1930s and 1940s, the capability of “remote viewing” did not attract military attention until the Cold War and the arms race began.
In the 1970s, the U.S. government became aware that the KGB was funded by the Soviet government to conduct several research programs on psychic abilities, including mind surveillance, with the aim of gathering strategic intelligence.
At this time, the ability to see at a distance was considered a potential security threat, prompting the U.S. government, including the military and the CIA, to start developing these psychic research programs. One of these was a remote viewing project funded by the CIA, classified as top secret, known as Stargate.
Launched in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, under the command of Lieutenant F. Holmes “Skip” Atwater and under the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Stargate Project aimed to identify the operational capabilities and limitations of remote viewing, while also testing and evaluating its accuracy on specific locations.
In this program, Atwater worked closely with two renowned physicists, Russell Targ and Hal Puthoff, from the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in Menlo Park, California.
SRI was involved in researching paranormal phenomena and parapsychological projects, extrasensory perception, psychology, using mental power to move objects, and remote viewing. Their research has been published in several mainstream journals, such as Proceedings of the IEEE and Nature, and received funding from organizations like NASA, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the Central Intelligence Agency.
Seeing Alien Bases?
Pat Price (left), a remote viewer, and scientist Hal Puthoff.
Through Puthoff, Atwater learned about a person believed to have special abilities named Pat Price. According to reports, he could sit in one place but accurately identify the locations of structures far away.
One notable experiment occurred in 1974 when Price was asked to remotely view a randomly selected target, which he had no prior knowledge of. The location was a swimming pool complex at Rinconada Park, about 10 kilometers from the SRI Radio Physics Building.
After 30 minutes of “looking” at the target, he described it as “a circular pond approximately 30 meters in diameter,” “a rectangular pool measuring 18 meters by 24 meters,” and “a concrete structure that could be a water treatment plant.” He sketched a diagram that included several other details like pumps, machinery, and a water reservoir.
Upon checking the location, it was found that Price’s description was quite accurate, differing only slightly in the size of the pools and the position of the structure, but there was no water reservoir or treatment plant. However, it was later discovered that the site had indeed been a water treatment plant in 1913, with water tanks located exactly where Price had described, indicating that he had “seen” locations from the past, also known as “retrospective perception.”
Even more intriguingly about Price’s special ability was his claim that through “remote viewing,” he had discovered alien bases in various locations.
In 1973, Price told Puthoff that he had “seen” several underground alien bases beneath mountain ranges around the world. One of them was located in Perdido Mountain, which stands at 3,352 meters, part of the Pyrenees between France and Spain.
According to Price, there is an alien base there with a perimeter of about 4 kilometers, equipped with a series of advanced detectors and sensors, along with many UFOs in the storage area. Another base is located in Inyangani Mountain, Zimbabwe, Africa, which Price claimed was a maintenance and supply center.
A third base is situated beneath Hayes Mountain in the far northeast of Anchorage, Alaska, described as a research center for extraterrestrial geology and weather. Price stated that this base was the cause of “incidents in the space programs of the U.S. and the Soviet Union,” with any attempts to approach the base being thwarted by electronic weapons.
The fourth base is in Mount Ziel, located in the Northern Territory of Australia, which has the largest personnel, tasked with “transporting recruits and overall monitoring.” However, he had to abort his mind surveillance of this particular base because he was detected.
Price indicated that similar bases exist on the Moon, Mars, and beneath the Earth’s oceans. All the aliens at these bases resemble humans, but “their hearts, lungs, blood, and eyes are different.” Price also ominously claimed that these aliens were using technology for “thought transfer to control our mobility” and were seeking to infiltrate human society.
Atwater was very interested in this psychic, but unfortunately, Price died under mysterious circumstances in 1975. In 1991, SRI consolidated the Stargate Project, and the entire program was terminated and declassified in 1995, after a CIA report concluded it was not useful for any intelligence operations.
There is no way to know how effective Price’s remote viewing was. It was never officially recognized, and whether that ability truly existed remains a topic of debate.
