Hair Follicle |
Even though I just got my hair cut, it only took a little over a month for it to grow long enough to need trimming again. As for my eyebrows, they have never needed to be shortened, and it seems like they always stay the same.
According to research by scientists, the length of human hair is determined by the hair follicle, which can vary in size and shape.
Eyebrows can only grow to a certain length and age before they shed; new hair will then grow in place of the lost hair. Different parts of the body have hair that grows to varying lengths because the hair follicles in different areas are distinct. Additionally, each type of hair follicle can only support a specific length of hair. The hair follicles of eyebrows have a much lower capacity than those of scalp hair. Therefore, when eyebrows reach a certain length, their follicles can no longer support further growth, leading to natural shedding without the possibility of growing as long as scalp hair.
