On January 5, 2006, the organizing committee of the Vietnam Vifotec – VEF Technical Innovation Award for students in 2005 (Vifotec – VEF 2005) announced the results of the 2005 competition. Out of a total of 224 projects participating in Vifotec – VEF 2005, the committee selected 69 projects to receive awards.
Among the 69 award-winning projects in 2005, there were 7 first prizes, including a project by contestant Nguyễn Thùy Chi from the University of Transport and Communications, which was nominated to compete in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) award in 2005. Additionally, the committee awarded 22 second prizes and 40 third prizes for outstanding projects.
This year’s technical innovation competition for students received enthusiastic support from universities. If there were no limits on the number of submissions (with each school allowed to submit one project for every 2,000 students), the number of participating projects could reach into the thousands. The quality of the winning projects was very high compared to the knowledge of the students.
According to the plan, the award ceremony for Vifotec – VEF 2005 will be held on January 7, 2006, at Hue University.
