As part of the IT Development Program in Vietnam from March 1, 2006, to April 30, 2006, ALLIANT Corp., in collaboration with the Faculty of Information Technology at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, organized a seminar on Java – Development Trends and Applications with students from Thang Long Private University in Hanoi on April 25, 2006.
In recent years, Java has become one of the most trusted programming languages among domestic and international software companies, as well as leading experts in the Java technology field. Recognizing this demand, Thang Long Private University has shifted its training approach by collaborating with Alliant Corporation, a partner of Sun Microsystems, to incorporate Java programming language curricula into the training of future technology engineers. According to Dr. Phan Huy Phu, the Rector of Thang Long University: “IT is a rapidly developing field, thus updating the curriculum is essential. For over 10 years, Thang Long University has continuously evolved its technology training programs from Pascal to C++, and now to Java“.
Having joined the global IT community (1995 – 2006) for over 10 years, Java has gradually developed and now firmly asserts its number one position in the World Wide Web (Internet). An increasing number of applications utilize Java, from J2EE technology management applications that enable fast and efficient web browsing to mobile programming applications using J2ME technology, allowing for the integration of numerous functions into a handheld mobile device!
In addition to exploring the development trends and applications of Java, the seminar served as a networking platform between major businesses like Alliant Corporation, Vietsoftware Company, educational institutions, and IT students from Thang Long University. This created opportunities for all parties to better understand recruitment needs as well as job-seeking prospects for graduates and students after they complete their studies.
