Acer – the world’s fourth-largest computer manufacturer – has successfully researched and integrated Acer SignalUp technology into its laptops, representing the most advanced wireless connectivity technology available today.
The introduction of Acer SignalUp technology addresses several drawbacks of traditional wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi), such as frequent disconnections, inability to connect in certain areas, and data loss in public network environments…
With this new technology, Acer has implemented the most efficient antenna currently available – the PIFA antenna – to mitigate connectivity issues. Due to its geometric structure, the PIFA antenna creates a uniform 3D spherical signal field, enabling stronger signal transmission and greater resistance to interference compared to other conventional two-dimensional antennas. Additionally, positioning the antenna at the highest point of the LCD screen in the SignalUp technology minimizes signal interference caused by the laptop’s casing and mechanical components, as well as electromagnetic noise and thermal interference generated by the motherboard and processor.
Research conducted at RMIT University also indicates that Acer laptops equipped with Acer SignalUp technology have a 25% stronger wireless connectivity capability compared to other laptops.
Acer SignalUp technology is fully compatible with WLAN wireless communication standards, certified by the Wi-Fi® Alliance. Furthermore, this technology encrypts wireless communications between the laptop and Wi-Fi access points or hotspots according to WPA (Wi-Fi® Protected Access) and Cisco’s CCX (Cisco Compatibility Extension) security standards, ensuring the security of users’ important information and data.
Currently, all Acer laptops are integrated with Acer SignalUp technology, allowing users to enjoy safe and comfortable wireless connectivity at any time.
