Japanese sports shoe manufacturer Asics is researching the production of ultra-lightweight soft-soled shoes specifically designed for astronauts. This special footwear will help space travelers conserve energy in the harsh conditions of a weightless environment in outer space.
The prototype shoes are designed with a flexible soft sole and weigh only 130 grams per pair. In the photo: the prototype shoes, featuring a unique two-toed design, produced by Asics, are displayed at the company’s headquarters in Kobe.
