On May 19, the Dak Lak Museum received an ancient bronze drum discovered by local residents in Tan Lap hamlet, Hoa An commune, Krong Pach district. This bronze drum was unearthed by a villager while digging a hole for coffee planting.
Surrounding the discovery site of the drum were numerous shards of pottery. Inside the drum, archaeologists found various bones, human teeth, and several burial artifacts such as a twisted bronze spiral, agate beads, clay beads, and a spindle whorl.
According to archaeological experts, this is a Dong Son type I bronze drum, dating back approximately 2,000 years.
