In the coming months, IBM plans to triple the number of its middleware offerings on the HP Integrity platform using HP-UX 11i, featuring brands like WebSphere, Rational, Tivoli, Lotus, and Information Management.
For over a decade, HP and IBM have collaborated on developing various multifunctional software solutions based on open standards, aiming to optimize IBM middleware running on the HP-UX platform and products such as WebSphere Application Server, DB2 Universal Database, and Tivoli Storage Manager. Recently, they have shared several key customers across sectors like finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, government, and healthcare.
Sandy Carter, Vice President of IBM’s Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) software group, stated: “Our middleware campaign aims to integrate service-oriented architectures across various platforms, including HP Integrity servers running on the HP-UX 11i system, which is a platform that IBM has prioritized for support.”
