Microsoft announced on June 5 that the integration of Yahoo Messenger with Windows Live Messenger is being expedited and may be completed in the near future.
However, according to Microsoft, it is still unclear exactly when users will be able to merge their contact lists from Yahoo (Yahoo! Buddies) with Windows Live Messenger, but it is assured that it will not be long.
Both Yahoo and Microsoft began announcing their partnership agreement back in October 2005. The integration is expected to be completed around the second quarter of this year. Currently, an early trial version that integrates both Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger is being tested internally.
