Witnesses terrified as a 3-meter-long python coils itself on power lines.
The incident took place in Chonburi Province, Thailand, and was captured by local residents.
The massive python coiled on power lines
Specifically, after discovering the enormous python curled up on the power lines, 54-year-old Thipparat Petchthaweerat called the rescue team.
An officer arrived at the scene and used a ladder to reach the python. However, the reptile attempted to fight back when captured.
After struggling with the python for about 30 minutes, the man eventually subdued it and pulled the creature down.
“I also found two smaller pythons in my garden. I think this one is their mother, and it climbed up the power lines to escape from stray dogs,” Thipparat stated.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, primarily inhabiting forests, swamps, canals, and even urban areas. This species is one of the largest snakes in the world and can prey on humans, cats, dogs, birds, rodents, and other snakes.
