On June 9, after several online newspapers reported that the website of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan had links to pornographic websites, a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the website had been removed from the Internet.
A representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that there has been a plan to develop a unified website system since late 2004, but it has not been completed due to limitations in human resources, funding, and the large scale of the project. Currently, more than a dozen websites have been completed, such as those in Belgium and Russia, and are in the process of being updated with information.
