On June 13, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking announced that the survival of humanity depends on finding another place in the universe to settle. This is essential to avoid catastrophic risks to Earth due to climate change, warfare, pandemics, and more.

British physicists discussed the necessity for humanity to find a place to settle on the Moon within the next 20 years or on Mars within the next 40 years.
This topic was addressed at a scientific workshop currently taking place in Hong Kong.
At the workshop, Stephen Hawking stated that although moving to another planet, humanity would not find a place more beautiful than the Earth we currently inhabit.
He further emphasized that if humans cannot avoid self-destruction within the next 100 years, they will need to find other places to settle in the universe without relying on Earth.
Hawking believes this issue is of utmost importance. Life on Earth is currently at risk of being destroyed by disasters such as global warming, nuclear war, the mutation of viruses, or any unforeseen events that humanity cannot predict.
Stephen Hawking, a 64-year-old scientist and author of the famous book “A Brief History of Time“—who is confined to a wheelchair and communicates through a computer due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis—also mentioned that he is collaborating with his daughter to write a children’s book about the universe aimed at kids who are at the age of reading Harry Potter stories.
