This is not the first time we have witnessed a company launch the smallest LED projector in the world. And it certainly won’t be the last. The innovator this time is Sony.
Sony utilizes RGB LED light sources for its new product while also incorporating two specific innovations that help reduce the size of the device.
First, Sony has combined a 3 LCDS that can function as a display device with a prism to converge light beams. Secondly, Sony has discovered a solution to minimize the distance between the display devices and the LED projection lights. In total, Sony has employed 14 LEDs – 4 red, 4 blue, and 4 green.
The total volume of the device is approximately 410 cm³. The size of the projector is only about twice that of a business card, and its length is even shorter than that of a pen.
