The official version of Parallels Desktop for Mac (PD4M) is now available.
PD4M is priced at $79.99 or $49.99 (depending on the agreement) and is a solution that allows Mac users to run Windows, Linux, and their essential applications simultaneously with Mac OS X on any iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook, or MacBook Pro equipped with an Intel chip.
Unlike dual-boot solutions (where users must completely shut down Mac OS X and wait through a lengthy boot process to access Windows), PD4M enables users to run Windows and applications without exiting Mac OS X.
PD4M features intelligent setup programs that guide users through the installation process, allowing them to run any version of Windows (3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT, XP, 2003) alongside Mac OS X, as well as any type of Linux (FreeBSD, Solaris, OS/2, eComStation, or any version of MS-DOS).
This version of PD4M supports a wide range of peripheral devices, facilitates easy file and folder sharing between systems, and optimizes the performance of virtual machines.
