This is a brick tomb, situated 0.5 meters above ground, measuring 6 meters in length and 1.7 meters in width. The tomb is constructed in an arched brick style, containing numerous ceramic artifacts such as bowls, plates, jars, pots, vases, and fragments of pottery, along with a flat iron piece and some copper slag.
According to preliminary assessments by archaeologists, this tomb was built during the Han Dynasty (often referred to as a Han tomb), dating back nearly 1,500 years (around the 5th to 6th century).
Evidence includes decorative patterns collected from Han Dynasty brick artifacts, stone bases, tiles, and other ceramic relics scattered throughout the pagoda area.
The management board of the Yen Tu historical site is continuing to expand the excavation of the brick arched tomb to understand its structure and the processes involved in its construction.
From this discovery, the Yen Tu site management board has initially implemented a protection plan for the tomb and its artifacts, while also reporting to the local and provincial authorities to seek investment directions and enhance the long-term cultural values.
