Witnessing a crocodile struggling and then eating a giant python, the locals present at the scene were understandably terrified.
The incident was recorded near the Latiang Bridge in Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia.

In the clip, a crocodile is seen consuming a python. After finishing its meal, the crocodile immediately submerges into the water.
Ardi, the head of the West Sumatra Natural Resources Conservation Agency, stated: “Crocodiles often appear in some rivers in West Sumatra as it is their breeding season and they are laying eggs. During this time, people should be cautious as they are very sensitive and can attack humans.”
Crocodiles are among the most dangerous predators in the wild. With their strength and skills, they can attack any animal that comes close to drink water or swim near rivers and swamps.
Although they may appear sluggish, crocodiles are very agile over short distances, even on land. They possess extremely powerful jaws and sharp teeth designed for tearing flesh.
Crocodiles are ambush hunters, waiting for fish or land animals to approach before launching a swift attack. After delivering their powerful bite, crocodiles drag their prey into the water to drown them. Only after the prey is dead do they begin to enjoy their meal.
