Mr. Mono George, Director of DataDot Australia, stated: “The problem of counterfeit and fake goods has become increasingly severe, causing significant financial losses for businesses. Therefore, safeguarding asset brand integrity has become an urgent necessity. Our company has developed microdot technology to protect patents and can be applied to all types of products in a unique way.”
Mr. George explained, DataDot consists of a series of tiny dots the size of a grain of sand. Each DataDot component is produced from a layer of synthetic polyester substrate. Through laser engraving technology, these dots are encoded with a unique string of characters, including letters, numbers, or logos representing the product.
Additionally, DataDot is supplemented with a special adhesive that allows it to be “printed” onto any product, whether by spraying, sticking, or brushing. In terms of characteristics, this technology is akin to DNA technology used for asset and product identification.

When applied to a product, DataDot cannot be seen with the naked eye; it requires a supporting device such as a microscope or reader. The technology, when integrated into the production line, does not affect product quality.
According to Mr. George, the DataDot technology has potential applications across various fields, including manufacturing vehicles like cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and consumer products such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and spare parts…
Due to its specificity, this technology enables businesses to prove the authenticity of products and goods, allowing for comparison with counterfeit items. It also allows brand owners to detect criminal activities through the identification of stolen assets.
DataDot technology has been utilized by manufacturers worldwide, including renowned automotive brands like Hyundai, Audi, BMW, Isuzu, Ford, and Mitsubishi…
