Many people believe this, both men and women. However, the reality is different. A study in the United States shows that men and women have similar abilities when it comes to using the internet.
Experts at Northwestern University concluded that only education level, age, and internet experience create differences, while gender plays no role in this context. However, in the aforementioned study, no man claimed to be unfamiliar with the internet, while no woman admitted to using the internet at a professional level. This indicates that women often underestimate their internet skills, whereas men tend to do the opposite.
The study also found that while the ability to “dig” through the internet is comparable between genders, the purposes for using the internet often differ. Additionally, women generally prefer colorful websites, while men favor simpler designs.
