Regarding this issue, Fox 5 revealed that the lights might not be an extraterrestrial mystery. The supervising commander of the San Diego Police Department mentioned that “the rescue personnel believe that it was flares used for a training exercise.”
However, when ABC News contacted nearby military units, they all responded that they “did not know.”
