The two cities are Heraklion and Canopus, established by the Pharaohs and later governed by Greek kings and Roman emperors.
These cities were thriving centers of trade and religion for hundreds of years in Egypt before they were destroyed by earthquakes and tsunamis 1,300 years ago.
The person who accidentally discovered these cities six years ago was a French diver and archaeologist named Franck Goddio.
Recently, the city of Berlin in Germany hosted an exhibition titled “The Buried Treasures of Egypt,” showcasing artifacts from ancient Egypt that were found in these two cities.
