Hundreds of people flocked to the city of Kolkata (India) to witness an extraordinary event: an electrician holding a piece of his own skull.
A significant portion of S. Roy’s skull, aged 25, spontaneously fell out of his head last weekend. In October of last year, Roy nearly lost his life after being electrocuted while repairing high-voltage power lines. Fortunately, he survived, but doctors reported that his scalp had been severely burned and peeled off months later, exposing his skull.
Gradually, doctors noticed that a part of Roy’s skull was loosening due to the destruction of the blood vessels in that area, which could no longer support the skull. However, contrary to the doctors’ expectations, Roy miraculously survived. The lower part of the skull and the membrane that helps form bone were not affected by the electric shock, allowing new bone to form. Doctors stated that 80% of the outer skull of the electrician has hardened, and at this rate, he will fully recover within the next three months.
