Microsoft Plans to Release 7 Security Updates for Windows and Office Software in July
Four out of the seven security updates will address vulnerabilities in the Windows operating system, while three updates are intended for the Office software suite.
Evaluating the July security updates, Gunter Ollmann, director of Internet Systems, stated that these updates will resolve security flaws in the Office software suite, given the relatively high risk of hackers exploiting these vulnerabilities to attack users.
Last month, Microsoft confirmed that it is continuing to investigate issues related to the Office software suite after reports indicated that hackers had exploited one of these vulnerabilities to attack users. Additionally, two other security flaws could also be exploited to gain control over users’ systems.
The security updates are scheduled for official release on July 11, in line with Microsoft’s monthly security update schedule.
