Microsoft has recently released a new utility software for Windows XP – Private Folder 1.0, which allows users to create their own “secret” folders.
Microsoft Private Folder 1.10 enables users to create a “My Private Folder” with a personal password to store personal information.
Microsoft Private Folder 1.10 is compatible with Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional, or Windows Media Center Edition. However, to download this software, you must pass a validation check for the operating system enforced by Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA).
In evaluating this tool, Microsoft believes it is a truly useful utility for users to store personal data when they have to share a personal computer with others.
