Last night (July 12), the award ceremony for “Most Popular IT Products and BITCUP – Best IT Solution 2006” – a traditional award by PCWORLDVN based on readers’ votes – was held at the Legend Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City. The event was broadcast live on Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV).
This annual event is organized by PCWORLD VN magazine to vote for the best IT products and solutions of the year. The nominated products and solutions are well-established names recognized by a large number of users. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the “Most Popular IT Product” award.
Speaking at the press conference before the award ceremony, Mr. Lê Trung Việt, Editor-in-Chief of TGVT – PCWORLD VN, announced that this year’s category of Most Popular IT Products 2006 featured 31 products selected from 15,000 valid reader votes. Additionally, this year’s results showed no significant differences in rankings within the same product category, whereas last year had a considerable gap between products.
For the “BITCUP 2006 – Best IT Solution” award, four products were selected: IRP by AZ Solutions – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); Misa SME by Misa Software Joint Stock Company – Enterprise Accounting; Venus by BSC Joint Stock Company – Customer Relationship Management (CRM); and chodientu.com by PeaceSoft – E-commerce.
In the Internet service category, VDC was still voted as the best Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Vietnam (dial-up group). According to Mr. Việt, this result reflects VDC’s consistently affirmed service quality and its significant contributions to the Internet popularization movement – cultural postal points.
