Weighing only 13 grams, the OnlyDisk U220 features encryption technology that allows a PC to recognize it as two removable drives in the “My Computer” directory: one in normal mode and one secured.
Users can designate a portion of the drive’s capacity for security while keeping the remainder accessible, or they can choose to secure the entire drive, meaning there will be no freely accessible sections.
This USB drive allows owners to set a limit on the number of password entry attempts, locking the data and denying access if the password is entered incorrectly too many times. Afterward, the drive must be completely erased using the utility unlock mode to free up storage space.
The OnlyDisk U220 series is compatible with operating systems including Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003, Mac OS 9.x/X, and Linux 2.4.x. When using a USB 2.0 port, it achieves data transfer speeds of up to 9.5 Mb/s.
This drive also supports USB 1.1 ports, achieving access speeds of 1.2 Mb/s, which is faster than regular USB 1.1 drives. The U220 supports BIOS booting as USB-ZIP or USB-HDD.
These drives are priced at £23.99, £29.99, and £49.99, corresponding to storage capacities of 512 MB, 1 GB, and 2 GB (including VAT).
