The soldiers of the future will be able to use a special Spider-Man suit to move along vertical surfaces and even cling to ceilings.
BAE Systems has developed a material similar to a gecko’s foot that can adhere to vertical glass surfaces.

The research is still in its early stages, but the company states that the infantry suit will be made from this material, giving troops the ability to climb like a gecko.
A government organization has expressed interest in this new material for use in reconnaissance.
The gecko’s foot is covered in tiny hairs that enable it to effectively stick to anything it touches.
Dr. Jeff Sargent, a physicist at BAE Systems, stated: “We have created a small amount of this material and have demonstrated that it sticks to glass surfaces, proving that the product has great potential.”
