At 7 PM, the center of the low-pressure area was located approximately 180 km east of the coast of Ninh Thuan and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces. The strongest winds at the center of the low-pressure area decreased to below level 6 (less than 39 km per hour), with gusts above level 6.
It is forecasted that this low-pressure area will continue to move westward, then weaken and dissipate.
Additionally, the cold air mass that was reported is continuing to move southward. It is expected that around early morning and tomorrow (December 14), this cold air mass will affect the weather in the northern provinces.
Due to the influence of the cold air, there will be rain, showers, and isolated thunderstorms in the Northern and North Central regions; winds will shift to the northeast at levels 3-4 inland and level 5 along the coast. The northern provinces will experience cold weather, with mountainous areas facing severe cold.
The Gulf of Tonkin and offshore Central provinces will experience strong northeast winds at levels 6 to 7, with gusts exceeding level 7. The sea will be rough.
