Rafael Bridi from Brazil and Alexander Schulz from Germany teamed up to take on the daring challenge of walking a slackline stretched across an active volcano.
Located on Tana Island, the volcano rises 361 meters above sea level and has been erupting continuously since 1774.
The Guinness World Records organization shared a stunning video documenting the two men’s efforts to complete this challenge. The slackline, securely anchored at both ends, spans across the mouth of the volcano, and their task was to walk from one end to the other.
Both men walked at a height of 42 meters above the crater of Mount Yasur.
The line connecting the two ends was made of cable or polyester webbing rather than rope. Furthermore, any movement would cause the line to sway.

Rafael Bridi is not afraid of heights. In fact, he enjoys it. Rafael is passionate about outdoor activities, connecting with nature, and embarking on thrilling adventures.
Rafael stated: “The feeling of soaring and freedom is one of the biggest motivators for training to conquer new challenges.”
His mantra often revolves around focusing on his breath. This practice helps him maintain clarity and ward off negative thoughts.
To prepare for extraordinary heights, Rafael trains 2-3 days a week, even using a 100-meter slackline at home for practice. He also incorporates other sports into his training routine, including yoga, meditation, surfing, cycling, jiu-jitsu, and climbing.
Rafael hopes that his achievements will inspire people around the world to believe in their own dreams.
Rafael Bridi also holds the Guinness World Record for walking a slackline 18 meters between two hot air balloons suspended at an altitude of 1,900 meters. His next goal is to walk a slackline at an altitude of 6,000 meters above the Andes Mountains. Additionally, he hopes to break another record in the near future.
