Faced with the sharp claws and beak of an eagle, the lizard cleverly devised a way to escape from death.
The black lizard is tightly held by the eagle’s claws.
The clip was recorded by a 53-year-old woman named Jannette Kotze on March 21 at the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa.
In the footage, a black lizard is firmly grasped by the eagle’s claws and shows no signs of life. However, as soon as the eagle let its guard down, the lizard, which had been playing dead, quickly escaped, leaving the eagle in a desperate chase.
