Forecast for Late September: The North May Experience Its First Cold Front with Chilly Nights and Mornings.
The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting has announced that by the end of September 2022, the Northern region will begin to feel the effects of cold air. As a result of this cold air, a slight decrease in average temperatures is expected in the North. Nights and mornings will turn chilly.
The meteorological agency advises that while the initial cold fronts of the season may not cause significant cold weather, they could lead to heavy rainfall in Central provinces by the end of September. Additionally, these early cold fronts often bring thunderstorms, along with whirlwinds and strong winds to the Northern provinces.
Due to the impact of cold air, a slight decrease in average temperatures in the North is expected.
Forecasts for October this year indicate that the Northern and North Central regions will experience temperatures about 0.5 degrees Celsius higher than the long-term average. From November 2022 to December 2023, average temperatures are expected to be about 0.5 degrees lower. For the period from January to March 2023, average temperatures will be approximately in line with long-term averages for the same period. The main winter period is expected to occur from December to February of the following year.
