In recent years, the pet ownership trend has surged, leading to a variety of services such as spas, medical care, food, desserts, and clothing for dogs and cats. Many families are willing to spend significant amounts of money on food, medical treatments, or spa services for their beloved pets.
During the hot summer months, ice cream is the perfect solution to beat the heat. For pet owners, ice cream designed for their “four-legged friends” is an exciting option to keep their pets cool and comfortable.
A supermarket in the UK has debuted a line of ice cream for dogs this summer. A bag of Beechdean Doggy ice cream contains 110 ml, featuring 4 ice cream balls made from 100% plant-based ingredients. The ice cream comes in two flavors: green pea-vanilla and apple-carrot, crafted from fruits and vegetables.
Julie Ashfield, a representative of the supermarket, stated: “With more and more customers owning pets, we are thrilled to introduce a delicious and nutritious dessert that helps keep pets cool during the hot summer days.”
This refreshing ice cream will also be sold from carts where ‘servers’ can be dogs dressed up nicely to attract more customers. The price for a serving of dog ice cream is £2.99, which is approximately 84,000 VND.
