The performance of athletes, including football players, is set to improve significantly with the use of Playermaker smart devices from the company of the same name, based in London, England.
“Playermaker was initially designed to monitor and enhance the performance of football players. However, we have now expanded to other sports and support performance enhancement for athletes at all skill levels,” said Guy Aharon, the director of Playermaker.
Playermaker improves athletes’ performance by analyzing statistical data. The Playermaker sensors are directly attached to the shoes, allowing the collection of data on the player’s foot-to-ball interactions, whether they are playing indoors or outdoors.
The purpose of the monitoring is to gather and analyze technical, tactical, biomechanical, and physical data from movement sources.
The collected data provides insights that can help athletes maximize their skills, monitor injury risks, and promote injury recovery.
“Our mission is to challenge disparities in sports. We empower and inspire male and female athletes around the world. We help them stay active, pursue their dreams, and become the best they can be, regardless of their discipline, position, or resources. Ultimately, wherever there is a passion for sports, we can help them improve their performance,” added Guy Aharon.

In reality, performance tracking devices are not new, but Playermaker claims that most previous solutions were only for professional athletes.
The company aims to break down barriers related to gender and skill levels while providing performance tracking features for any athlete, whether professional or amateur.
“Our journey began with football. However, the data, knowledge, and experience we gain serve as a solid foundation to elevate all athletes. We are confident that the success we have seen in football will be replicated in other sports. There is nothing more fulfilling than having the necessary tools to improve your performance in your favorite sport at any level,” emphasized Guy Aharon.
It is known that in football alone, over 250 clubs are using Playermaker smart devices for training and competition, according to Techcrunch.
