With a total length of 632 meters, the Bạch Long Glass Bridge has officially been recognized as the longest glass bridge in the world.
Bạch Long Glass Bridge is located in Sơn La Province (Vietnam) and measures about 630 meters in length. A few days ago, representatives from the Guinness World Records awarded this bridge the title of the longest pedestrian glass bridge in the world.
The Bạch Long Bridge has a total length of 632 meters, with a section spanning 290 meters over the cliff and a 342-meter section on the rock face. This is the fourth glass bridge in Vietnam.
The bridge’s surface width is 2.4 meters, and the section hanging over the rock face is 1.5 meters wide. The glass used is ultra-tempered Saint Gobain glass from France, consisting of three layers, with a thickness of 40mm.
The entire cable system is imported from South Korea, with each cable bundle containing 7 strands, each with a diameter of 50mm.
The bridge has two 30-meter tall towers designed for stability, drilled 30 meters deep with load-bearing cables.
Upon arriving at the glass bridge, visitors will be transported by electric vehicles to the ticketing area. After purchasing tickets, staff will guide guests to the bridge. Before experiencing the bridge, visitors must wear shoe covers, refrain from carrying umbrellas, and avoid placing bags or personal items on the glass surface.
Mr. Phan Chí Hiếu (from Hanoi) shared that he was very excited to experience the bridge while standing at its foot. However, once he stepped onto the glass bridge, he struggled mentally and needed his friend to guide him across. “I am afraid of heights, and after a few steps, I looked down. The scenery here is stunning, but I imagined what would happen if I fell. After being encouraged by my friends, I took a deep breath, regained my composure, and walked across the bridge. It truly was an exciting experience,” Mr. Hiếu said.
In addition to the walking experience, visitors can enjoy the natural scenery in Mộc Châu. The ticket price for the glass bridge experience is 550,000 VND for adults and 350,000 VND for children on regular days. During holidays and weekends, the price increases by 100,000 VND to 650,000 VND for adults and 450,000 VND for children. Residents of Sơn La with ID cards, students, and veterans receive discounts, with prices dropping to 400,000 VND for adults and 250,000 VND for children on regular days. Children under 1 meter tall are granted free admission.
The deepest point of the bridge is approximately 150 meters.
Mường Móoc Cave (also known as Chim Thần Cave) is located at the foot of the bridge, featuring natural stalactites that serve as a viewpoint and a resting area for visitors after their experience.
It is known that the second longest glass bridge in the world is located in the scenic area of Tamhsi Hoang Xuyen, China, measuring 526 meters.
