Where is Tà Xùa?
Tà Xùa is a highland commune in Bắc Yên District, Sơn La Province. It borders the two districts of Bắc Yên (Sơn La) and Trạm Tấu (Yên Bái). Tà Xùa has about 450 households, primarily consisting of the H’Mong ethnic group.
Tà Xùa is less than 15 km from Bắc Yên Town, but reaching it requires navigating many steep hills and dangerous bends. Provincial Road 112 winds along the mountainside, leading up to Tà Xùa Peak. Situated at an altitude of over 1,500 meters above sea level, Tà Xùa boasts stunning mountainous landscapes and is renowned for its breathtaking cloud scenery in the morning light during winter.
Best time to visit Tà Xùa
Due to its elevation of 1,500 to 1,800 meters above sea level, Tà Xùa enjoys a cool climate year-round. You can visit Tà Xùa at any time you prefer. However, if you want to hunt clouds, the best time is from October of the previous year to April of the following year. To escape the heat, visit Tà Xùa in the summer; if you want to experience the biting cold and sometimes see snow, winter is the time to go. Overall, the weather in Tà Xùa is cool and slightly chilly.
