Artist Hidreley Diao from Brazil has gained popularity on social media for his continuous creativity.
His latest project utilizes AI image transformation capabilities, combining Photoshop with three mobile applications: FaceApp, Gradiente, and Remini to create impressive images of famous historical figures.
According to Hidreley Diao, one of the privileges of modern times is that people’s fashion does not indicate social status as it once did. Therefore, famous historical figures appear equal, just like anyone else.
“Even though they have achieved great accomplishments or their stories are world-famous, I believe they are ordinary people. This is why I want to have a different perspective on famous historical figures, trying to imagine what they would look like if they were alive in modern times,” the artist shared.
Hidreley Diao’s unique idea was inspired by photographer and digital artist Bas Uterwijk. He is a master in the field, and Hidreley Diao has sought to learn more from Bas Uterwijk.
Famous faces such as George Washington, Ben Franklin, Mona Lisa, Napoleon, and Leonardo da Vinci have all been reimagined by Hidreley Diao.
When selecting figures, the most time-consuming part is finding images that closely resemble the historical characters. Hidreley Diao spends hours in image databases until he finds the right photo. Each individual part can take up to two hours, and success is unlikely without the assistance of AI.
“Since discovering artificial intelligence, I have challenged myself to do things I never imagined I would do. I am continuing to explore the world of artificial intelligence, and I want to tell you that it is a world without limits. My Instagram followers have given a lot of positive feedback on these images. So I feel very happy that my creative work is supported by people,” Hidreley Diao shared.
Hidreley Diao’s Instagram account currently attracts over 140,000 followers, where the artist regularly shares his artistic creations and interacts with fans.
