The Lunar New Year, known as Tết Nguyên Đán, is one of the oldest traditional cultural celebrations that is essential to the lives of people in many Asian countries, including Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and China.

People across many Asian countries welcomed the Year of the Tiger in 2022 quietly, amid concerns over Covid-19, especially with the highly transmissible Omicron variant.
This marks the third consecutive year that New Year celebrations have been overshadowed by the pandemic. However, many still believe that the Year of the Tiger will bring new hope, enough to bring life back to a nearly normal state, thanks to significant progress in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
