A severe seizure claimed the life of an adult male tiger, even though just moments before, it was happily playing.
This shocking moment was captured by a tourist at a zoo in South Africa, showing a pair of adult tigers playing together on the other side of a steel fence.
After a while of running around, one tiger suddenly staggered, lost its balance, fell to the ground, and then began to seize.
Just a few seconds later, the tiger became stiff with all four legs rigid, drooling uncontrollably, and then gradually lost consciousness. According to the owner of the video, the male tiger was confirmed dead shortly after, with the cause of death attributed to a seizure.
The incident is believed to have occurred in 2015 but has recently been shared again on social media, quickly going “viral” and leaving many witnesses feeling heartbroken.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder caused by repeated disruptions of certain neurons in the cerebral cortex, resulting in various symptoms of nervous system dysfunction (commonly referred to as seizures) such as convulsions, tongue biting, foaming at the mouth, rolling back of the eyes, and loss of consciousness…
The causes of most cases of epilepsy remain unclear, especially for some animal species. According to biologists, epilepsy may result from brain injuries, strokes, brain tumors, or metabolic disorders.
Additionally, biological mutations are also linked to a small percentage of this disorder and can be hereditary.
Epilepsy in animals can be treated, but if not addressed thoroughly, the complications of the disease can be extremely dangerous and even life-threatening for the animal.
