A group of people used a bucket tied to a long rope and then lowered the bucket down to the foot of a bridge where the water was flowing rapidly. After waiting for a while, they gently pulled the bucket back up.
The result was that they caught a lot of fish using this creative method. It turned out that the fish were thrown up to the surface of the water by the strong current, so the fishermen just needed to use the bucket to catch these fish. However, when pulling the bucket up, they had to be very skillful to prevent the fish from falling back into the water.

Similar to this fishing method used in India, the Japanese also employ a similar technique to catch sweetfish, scientifically known as Plecoglossus altivelis, but they use a long fishing net instead of a bucket.
