The rescue operation for the three cobras took place this past Wednesday. Immediately after being released, the three cobras coiled around the trunk of a tree, creating a bizarre spectacle. Mr. Nilesh Wankhede decided to document this unusual scene.
Mr. Nilesh Wankhede shared about his work: “I specialize in capturing snakes that appear in villages near the sanctuary and releasing them back into the wild. I have rescued hundreds of snakes over the past 20 years, but I have never seen a sight as strange as this; I was truly amazed by what I witnessed.”
Alongside Mr. Nilesh Wankhede during the release were two other colleagues: “It was strange that the snakes did not slither on the grass or quickly seek shelter; instead, they found a way to climb the tree trunk and coiled around it for 15 minutes.
I found them in a village after the locals reported cobras appearing in the area. One was found in a house, another in a cow shed, and the last one in a hut. After capturing them, my colleagues and I released them into the forest, and upon release, we witnessed this bizarre scene.”
When Mr. Nilesh Wankhede shared images of the three cobras coiled around the tree trunk on social media, these images garnered significant attention.
Cobras can grow to over 5 meters in length, and the venom from their bite can be potent enough to kill an adult elephant.
Mr. Nilesh Wankhede expressed that he felt it was miraculous to witness this strange moment, considering it one of the most unusual sights he has ever seen in his line of work.
