Russia has just launched a new perfume that pays tribute to the fifth-generation fighter jet, Checkmate, which was first introduced at the international airshow in Dubai.
According to the state-owned corporation Rostec, which invests in the defense and high-tech industries, the new fragrance was specially created for the international debut of the Checkmate fighter jet at the Dubai Airshow (UAE).

“The fragrance features notes of glass, leather, and metal used to create the airframe, engine, and cockpit,” Rostec stated, emphasizing that the perfumers used samples from the aircraft to develop the scent, combined with juniper, patchouli, and lichen from oak trees.
Checkmate is a fifth-generation light tactical aircraft with a single engine, first unveiled at the MAKS-2021 airshow in July 2021. The aircraft is designed with stealth characteristics, capable of operating in all weather conditions, and can fly at speeds of up to Mach 1.8. Checkmate is also capable of taking off from short runways and is compatible with a variety of weapons.
According to Rostec, the fragrance is designed to simulate the characteristics of the Checkmate aircraft.
“The Checkmate perfume emphasizes the modernity and reliability of the aircraft, with the ability to operate in all conditions: under the scorching heat of the desert, in mountainous areas, subtropical regions, the Arctic, or tropical areas,” Rostec added.
