On November 4, according to CNN, Tom Hanks revealed that billionaire Jeff Bezos had “offered” him a ticket to space aboard a rocket from his company, Blue Origin, but the actor declined.

The star of The Terminal also simulated the feeling of shaking while sitting in the rocket and repeated the phrase: “I don’t need to spend $28 million to do this.”
According to CNN, Blue Origin had previously announced that it had sold over $100 million in tickets but did not disclose the specific price for each passenger. Tom Hanks mentioning the figure of $28 million marks the first time the ticket price for space travel has been revealed.
On October 13, Blue Origin launched the New Shepard rocket into space for the fifth time. The flight included actor William Shatner, who is 90 years old. After reaching space, he set the record as the oldest person to fly into space.
According to CNN, William Shatner’s flight garnered interest from fans and Jeff Bezos himself. The 90-year-old actor famously played Captain James T. Kirk in the iconic space travel series Star Trek.
Recently, Tom Hanks has been busy promoting his new science fiction film. In Finch, the American actor plays Finch Weinberg – the last survivor on Earth after an apocalypse. He builds a robot to accompany him as he travels across the country.
